Exploring Early Career Teacher Retention and Attrition in Malta

malta.pngExploring Early Career Teacher Retention and Attrition in Malta

In collaboration with Prof. Christopher Bezzina, University of Malta, we are conducting a research study to explore teacher attrition and retention in Maltese schools by examining the supports available to beginning teachers in Malta. More specifically, the research questions are:

  1. What are the organization and mandates of teacher induction programs in Malta?
  2. What are beginning teachers’ perceptions of induction and mentorship programs, especially with respect to retention and career issues?
  3. What is the role of school administrators in induction and mentoring programs for early career teachers?

If you are a new teacher within the first 5 years of employment in a Maltese school, we invite you to participate in our study of teacher induction and mentoring programs. Please, consider participating in our online survey:

You will be asked to provide your perspectives and insights about your early career experiences with teaching, induction and mentoring programs, professional development, and career opportunities.

The survey will take about 15 – 20 minutes to complete.

There are no known physical, psychological, economic, or social risks associated with this study.

Upon completion of the survey, you can enter your name into a draw for a  €100 One4all Gift Voucher.
